Travelling Lost

Each one of us prefer a way to travel. One of them is the car. The car is tipically avoided by travellers because thay think that the travel’s spirit get lost, and it’s a way to travel too lonely. But we should take a look to the pros and cons before saying no to the car.

• First of all, the car gives you lots of freedom. Freedom to move yourself, the car is able to arrive quickly to lots of places where you’ll last a lot more.
• Freedom to stop whenever you need. You can stop in any place that please your eyes and stay as much as you want. If you are hungry and need to eat in the middle of the travel you can enjoy the landscape. It’s easier to eat when you are stopped, instead of moving in the train or in an airplane which may -or may not- be less confortable.
• While travelling by car you can stop to sleep in the middle of a trip. Furthermore, if you don’t get where to sleep you can do it in the car, using the sits, much better than sleeping in the street or in an airport. Sleeping in ithe car is not full of joy, you’ll be cold if it’s cold outside, and the opposite, and the next day you won’t be great to start running in a while.
• Travelling by car is a lot of times the quickest way to arrive to your destination, it’s easy to arrive directly to your destination. You choose where you want to go and the only limitation will be the path of the road and the fuel.

Which are the problems of the car?

Even with all this pros, the car also has some serious problems.

• Price: The gasoline is expensive and a long trip may not be the best if we don’t distribute the cost between some people.
• The risk of accidents, which is more probable than in the train.
• Contamination: Even with people who doesn’t want to believe it, it affects us directly.
• The parking: In my experience, almost in every place is difficult to get a place to leave the car.
• The pay per parking service, which is able to kill literally your budget.
• Lost some essence of the travel: It’s true, share opinions with people in the train, meet new people, you won’t have al this with a car. Is you don’t even sleep in hostels, is probable you won’t enjoy everything in your travel as much as you would.

I used my car in some of my trips, and I haven’t had too much problems with it.
